To move freely bones have joints. The ends of these are coated in cartilage (known as articular cartilage). This cartilage provides a cushion surface and prevents the contact of the two bones rubbing, the joint is then enclosed in a joint capsule containing an abundance of synovial fluid. The joint ends bath in this fluid which allows range of movement.

A Lack of joint lubricant results in poor cartilage health (leading to bone spurs) and DJD (degenerative joint disease).

Description: Hydra-flex All Horses uses ingredients that maintain this lubrication, control inflammation and aid in the maintenance of healthy cartilage. Scientifically Proven Benefits: Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a primary component of the synovial fluid lubricating cartilage and joint structures. The lubrication thereby helps to reduce wear and tear, aids mobility and increases comfort to the horse. Hydra-flex HA all horses uses high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (HA). High molecular weight HA shares the same attributes as native HA found in synovial fluid and is best recognised by the body.

This form of HA is proven and is superior to low molecular weight alternatives. Hydra-flex HA uses an optimal dose of HA (hyaluronic acid) to ensure maximum lubrication between joint surfaces thereby helping to reduce friction (wear and tear) and provide more comfort to the horse. Hydra-flex HA contains MSM to aid and support muscular, skeletal and connective tissues and control inflammation.

Hydra-flex All Horses contains Glucosamine to encourage healthy, more resilient cartilage. Studies show Glucosamine is beneficial by oral dose (in horses) and has proven anti-inflammatory properties once inside joint structures as well as show benefits for cartilage repair.

Note: We use a higher level of Glucosamine, which takes into account the Glucosamine fraction of Glucosamine Sulphate (66%). This is necessary to achieve the correct level of Glucosamine in the end formula.
